I've compiled a report of (almost) all the large events I've worked, as well as how much flights, and accommodations cost. I included two one-day events (which are highlighted in blue) because those two events I had to fly to, so they were very financially similar to three day events. I didn't include any RCQs or similar events because the math on those is just so wildly different. I also didn't include Ubers and food, but my food budget doesn't change dramatically from when I'm at home to when I'm at an event. I tend to take public transit a lot, or split Ubers with others, so I usually end up sub $50 on transit over each weekend.

I usually book 4 people to a room and share 2 to a bed. This year there was a lot of free rooms since I was able to find people who would let me get a floor spot for free, or I stayed with people who lived close to the venue. Finally for a few Head Judge roles, the organizer would sponsor the room.

I fly out of a very small two-gate regional airport on the West Coast of Canada, so for international events I will often have to connect through a larger airport.

Some events will have some very cheap travel costs, that's because I was able to chain the event together with other US events and either drove from the previous event or took a very cheap Spirit or Frontier flight. For those I just split the intermediary flight and assigned half the cost of it to each event.

All costs are in USD, converted using today's rate (1.42)
